Water damage in Malibu

Got an Emergency Service Call at 6pm on a Sunday evening from a stressed out homeowner screaming that her basement was flooded. We immediately dispatched our crew. Upon SERVPRO of Malibu's arrival, the entire basement was indeed flooded with category two standing water that was two inches high. When the homeowners first discovered it the water was four inches deep. Water was pumped out with a truck mounted extractor , the carpet and affected drywall were removed. We put in two dehumidifiers (a machine that sucks the moisture out the affected area) and three air movers (big strong fans) to dry out the wall cavities. The dry out was completed in three days and the homeowners were grateful for our fast response.
