The first thing you should consider when you are looking at companies to do water damage repair is their experience. Have they done jobs like your before. Ask them about their experience. Ask to see before and after photos of previous jobs. Ask for references. The more proof they have that they have that they have done jobs like yours before the better. 

Another way to find a good water damage repair contractor is to ask people you know. Find out who they used. Were they happy with the work? What was their experience? Ask them to show you before and after shots of their home. Chances are good if they were happy with the contractor they used you will be happy too.

Research online to see what reviews say about a specific company. Chances are good if they have done bad work someone will have reported it online. Google search their name and the area they work in. If you don’t find any negative reviews about them chances are good they are reputable.

Check with organizations like the Better Business Bureau. If they have done bad work they will have a bad rating with consumer protection groups like this.
